Goals for age 8 & under
Three (3) strokes with correct breathing patterns
Strong proper kick for three (3) strokes
Perfect streamline with two strokes before first breath
Ability to swim 25 yards/meters for three (3) strokes
Introducing starts and correct touches at finish
Being able to practice three (3) times a week for up to 60 minutes
Goals for age 9 to 10
All four strokes with correct breathing patterns
Strong proper kick for all strokes
Perfect streamline with two strokes before first breath
Being able to perform correct turns in all strokes
Ability to swim 50 yards/meters for all strokes
Being able to do starts from a block and correct touches at finish
Being able to practice five (5) times a week for up to 60 minutes
Being able to swim 1600 – 2000 yards during practice
In order to reach those goals, at least 90% attendance is expected.
Goals for age 10 to 12
All four strokes with correct breathing patterns
Strong proper kick for three (3) strokes
Perfect streamline with two strokes before first breath
Being able to perform correct turns in all strokes
Ability to swim 100 yards/meters in three (3) strokes and 100 IM
Being able to do starts from a block and correct touches at finish
Being able to practice five (5) times a week for up to 60 minutes
Successfully complete 6x100 Free at 2:30, 4x100 IM at 2:45
Being able to swim 2000 – 2300 yards during practice
Reach the min BB National Motivational time standards in at least two events
In order to reach those goals, at least 90% attendance is expected.
Goals for age 13 to 14
All four strokes with correct breathing patterns
Strong proper kick for all strokes
Perfect streamline with two strokes before first breath
Being able to perform correct turns in all strokes
Ability to swim 100 yards/meters in all (4) strokes and 100 IM and 200 Freestyle
Being able to do starts from a block and correct touches at finish
Being able to practice five (5) times a week for up to 60 minutes
Successfully complete 6x100 Free at 2:00, 4x100 IM at 2:20
Being able to swim 2300 – 2600 yards during practice
Reach the min BB National Motivational time standard in at least two events
In order to reach those goals, at least 90% attendance is expected.
Goals for age 15 to 18
All four strokes with correct breathing patterns
Strong proper kick for all strokes
Perfect streamline with two strokes before first breath
Being able to perform correct turns in all strokes
Ability to swim 100 yards/meters in all (4) strokes and 200 IM and 500 Freestyle
Being able to do starts from a block and correct touches at finish
Being able to practice five (5) times a week for up to 90 minutes
Successfully complete 10x100 Free at 1:30, 6x100 IM at 2:00
Being able to swim 4000 – 5000 yards during practice
Reach the min A National Motivational time standard in at least one event and min BB time in at least two event
In order to reach those goals, at least 90% attendance is expected.
